Malin and Troy are the co-founders of ROWOLF Creations and the creators of SightSync.
They met in Sweden and later moved together to Los Angeles, where they lived for three years before settling in the Seattle area in 2023.
Troy works in tech, and Malin provides tech support for a nonprofit. They share a love for nature, design, and solving real-world problems—especially ones that help people feel more included.
SightSync was born after one too many hikes where Malin, who has a visual impairment, couldn’t spot what Troy was seeing. So they built a tool to fix that—and now they’re helping others share the view too.
“Troy and I were hiking in the North Cascades when he spotted a mountain goat and her baby slowly climbing a mountainside. I wanted to see them too—but it took me several minutes of scanning before I finally found them. We were lucky they moved so slowly, or I might have missed them entirely.”
“That moment stuck with us. Not long after, Troy—who’s an engineer—started crafting a solution. And that’s how SightSync was born.”
“With SightSync, I no longer have to struggle to find what someone else is talking about. I’ve seen bald eagles fighting midair over a fish, marmots lounging on rocks, bears with their cubs, seals, otters, herons, elk, moose, bison, helicopters, fighter jets—even small architectural details across a lake that I would’ve otherwise missed.”
“But more than anything, I feel a deeper joy being out in nature. Because now, when my husband spots something amazing—I can see it too. We experience it together.”
